Paul has been the featured artist at the library’s annual jazz festival. He was well-received and developed an appreciative audience while here. Youth and Family Pickleball, Let the Fun Begin!

Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the U.S.A.! What is “pickleball” you ask? Here is your opportunity to learn all about pickleball, including a chance to play the game! The game is named after a cocker spaniel, Pickles, whose family invented the game as a way to bring all the family members together for a fun activity on their vacations. Cortland’s local pickleball team, The Cortland Cucumbers, will be presenting this fun workshop on the art of pickleball. The game is easy to learn and tons of fun for all ages. Just bring a pair of sneakers and wear comfortable clothing. Equipment consists of a plastic whiffle ball and a paddle, both of which will be provided to all participants. St. Baldrick's Day

The Candor American Legion Family and the Candor Emergency Squad are co-sponsoring a St. Baldrick’s event. What is St. Baldrick’s? St. Baldrick’s is a not-for-profit organization that asks people to shave their heads in solidarity of kid’s with cancer. Men, women and children around the globe have raised millions of dollars being “shavees” as people donate money to see these shavee’s get their hair shaved off. We are in need of shavees!
