An award-winning English vegetable gardener is planning to sail from Britain to the Isle of Man in a giant pumpkin.

The 67 year old man is going to carve out the giant pumpkin, fit it with a seat and an outboard motor and take off across the sea to raise money for charity.

He said: “I am totally confident this can be done.  Instead of calling it HMS….Her Majesty’s Ship…..we shall call her HMV Cinderella… Her Majesty’s Vegetable.”

Hmmmm……all these years I thought Prince Charles was Her Majesty’s Vegetable?

Friday Feb. 26 would have been the 78th birthday of the legendary Johnny Cash.   A nationwide campaign has started encouraging Cash fans to honor the “Man In Black’s” legacy by wearing something black tomorrow.

You don’t have to wear ALL black like Johnny did.  Just some sort of black clothing.    I’ll definitely do it…..and on this week’s Classic Country Sunday we’ll play a few extra Cash songs as well.

Who’s smarter - men or women?

Well,  a marathon game of Trivial Pursuit between the sexes has finally ended after five months - with women proving to be smarter than men.

The female of the species narrowly clinched victory after the online contest which featured more than 15 million questions conducted in nine languages.

Women answered 4,088,139 questions correctly, compared to the 4,077,596 right answers given by men.

The next battle planned is between the generations - between the under 30s and the over the 30s.  It will begin in mid-March 2010 at http://www.trivialpursuitexperiment.com
