Each year, the Friends of the Tompkins County Public Library holds two book sales, one in the Spring, and another in the Fall, to benefit the Tompkins County Public Library (TCPL), the Finger Lakes Library System (FLLS), and organizations working for literacy in Tompkins County.

Friends of the Library Spring Book Sale The sale runs for three long weekends, May 5-7, May 12-14 and May 19-22 at 509 Esty Street, Ithaca. Gem Fest is the annual show for the Wayne County Gem & Mineral Club.
